Who Am I

  • Dr. Tiffany Labrecque is a devoted third generation chiropractor who has experienced the lifelong benefits of chiropractic care since birth. She is originally from Edmond, Oklahoma and completed her pre-med studies at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas and has extensive training in pediatrics and spinal regeneration. As a child, Dr. Jim Labrecque’s life goal was to be a doctor in order to help people. He was a very sick child growing up and did not want others to suffer the way he had. While studying physical & occupation therapy at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, he suffered a severe spinal injury while playing high level competitive hockey. He exhausted every avenue he knew in order to heal with no success. He then learned a colleague of his was going to chiropractic school in the US; the colleague suggested that he give chiropractic a try. As a last resort, he did try chiropractic. Dr. Labrecque completely recovered and went to chiropractic school in Texas. He still plays competitive hockey today. Dr. Labrecque completed his doctor of chiropractic degree at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. He then returned to Quebec to open a private practice. Dr. Labrecque met his wife at an International Chiropractic Research seminar and relocated his practice to North Richland Hills, Texas in 1999. He has expanded his training and completed post-graduate work at Pettibon Spinal Mechanics and at Clear Institute. Dr. Labrecque is a certified Spinal Regeneration Specialist. He is also a certified Injury Prevention Specialist and provides these services to help local companies save money and increase productivity in the workplace. Dr. Labrecque has been recognized numerous times by his peers and nominated by several organizations as a leader in the profession. The doctors at Labrecque Family Chiropractic are extensively involved in service, both locally & globally, including Cornerstone Assistance Network, Feed the Hungry, Global Pastors Network, and more. They are Maximized Living Providers and strive to provide numerous community outreach programs about chiropractic, health, and wellness in order to educate others on how to lead more optimal lives.

Hi, I'm Doctor Jimmy Labrecque and I know the value of developing a lifestyle that is much more than just trying to manage stress.  Let me tell you that actually reducing the level of stress can be a lifesaver – literally.

Stress is a killer. Stress throws off the body’s chemistry and compromises its immune system. In plain words, that means your body will be less able to fight off disease and you become more susceptible to every passing illness. Patience dwindles and physical complaints increase in number and severity, especially in the cardiac and blood pressure arenas.

One way to tackle stress reduction is to make a list of all the relationships in your life – family, social, work-related, etc. Then evaluate each one of those relationships in terms of stress levels. Use a rating system like 1 equals lousy, 3 equals relatively neutral, and 5 equals great. When you see the results on paper, it might lead you to making some changes in your life – changes that reduce the level of stress. If you don’t really like spending time around someone, minimize the exposure and fill that time with an activity that feeds your soul.

Take a look at the activities that fill your days - and nights. List them, then rate them like you did the relationships. What does the evaluation session tell you? What are you doing that drains your energy instead of pumping you up? Of course, there are things no one wants to do, but those can often be minimized to at least some degree, leaving you with time to fill with activities you like.
